Samsung A40 Price in Nigeria and Review (2021)

Lets talk about the Samsung A40 Price in Nigeria.

With smartphones like the new Galaxy A40, Samsung is no doubt securing a huge space and making a significant mark in the budget market.

This Samsung phone, which happens to fall in the A-series lineup is another flagship offering from Samsung; a great smartphone experience at an adorable price. But I must say, while the Galaxy A40 really makes for a great compact smartphone and comes with some impressive upgrades; if we were to limit the competition to just the A-series lineup, it didn’t make much of a meaningful splash at least for me.

Samsung pulled some funny moves in the A-series lineup, the Samsung Galaxy A40, some of which are convincingly retrogressive. In this article is a detailed write-up on the price, features, and specs of Samsung’s latest phone. Meanwhile, here’s a briefing consisting of some noteworthy details about the Samsung Galaxy A70 you’d love to learn about.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Display

Samsung equipped the Galaxy A40 with a 5.9-inch edge-to-edge FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080. With this display, the Galaxy A40 ensures that you enjoy more depth in your music videos, video games, and so on.

However, I expected that the screen of the Galaxy A40 will be larger, or better still, a 6.4-inch display like its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A30, which featured a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. I’m guessing Samsung was just playing around with their sizes, trying to offer more portability, thereby projecting this new device as a compact phone.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Design

Coming to the design of Galaxy A40, it is lighter, smaller, and of course, has that premium design we love to flaunt. While its predecessor weighs 165g, the Galaxy A40 weighs a minimal 140g. Yet, this device has a sleek and beautiful 3D glasstic back making it beautiful and yet effortless to fit in a single hand with stunning curves at every corner. This device is also crafted in beautiful colours – white, coral, or blue shades – which you can choose from to suit your personality.

Samsung Galaxy A40 camera

Here is another good point of the Samsung Galaxy A40 – the camera. While the Galaxy A30 sports a 16MP selfie camera, this Samsung device sports a 25MP front camera with an F2.0 aperture which helps you get more vivid selfies.

And with the front camera automatically on “Beauty level 8”, you’ll surely look perfect in every picture. Moving over to the rear camera setup, just like its predecessor, it packs a dual-camera setup consisting of a 16MP main camera with an aperture of F1.7 and a 123-degrees ultra-wide 5MP camera with an F2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy A40 is also bringing to you the Scene optimizer which allows you to optimize you picture scene based on 19 different scenes and those AR emoji, stickers, stamps, and fun filters we love to play.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Memory

To allow you to store more and enjoy less lag, the Galaxy A40 is equipped with 64GB of inbuilt memory. This device also sports 4GB of RAM and allows you to expand storage to up to 512GB using a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Performance

Featuring an Octa-core 1.8GHz, 1.6 GHz as its processor and the Android 9.0 Pie as its OS, the new Galaxy A40 will surely render a super smart, fast, and powerful performance and operation, especially as a compact phone.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Security

Samsung Galaxy A40 is equipped with two efficient personalized protection technologies. At the rear of this device is installed a fingerprint sensor designed to grant you access instantly.

Taking your smartphone security to the next level, the Galaxy A40 also features a face recognition technology.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Battery

Now, this is the part I can’t get straight. The new Galaxy A40 comes with a 3,100mAh battery which lasts up to 9 hours on 3G internet usage and powers for up to 11 hours nonstop on 4G LTE and Wi-Fi internet usage.

As for your entertainment, the Galaxy A40 keeps going for up to 14 hours nonstop on video playback and up to 62 hours on Audio playback. While this battery is not bad for a great mid-range phone, as an impressive feature in the A-series line-up so far, it didn’t just make sense.

The predecessor of the Samsung Galaxy A40, the Galaxy A30 sports 4,100mAh battery that lasts even more. Even if Samsung wanted to play around with sizes, reducing the battery life of the Galaxy A40 wasn’t really a great move.

Moving forward, powering this new device back up in no time should be a piece of cake because it supports a 15W fast charging like the former Galaxy A30.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Connectivity

The connectivity of this phone is quite impressive. This device features a Dual-Nano-SIM (4FF) connectivity with a SIM 1 + microSD slot type. And speaking of the network, this device can take on 2G GSM, 3G UMTS, 4G FDD LTE, and 4G TDD LTE.

The Galaxy A40 also supports direct Wi-Fi connectivity rated 802.11a/b/n/ac 2.4GHz+5GHz, VHT80. It also sports the latest Bluetooth connectivity version, Bluetooth v9.0. Unlike its predecessor, the Galaxy A40 comes with ANT+ support (a feature that allows you to view your sport, fitness, and health monitoring data in real-time on your mobile device).

The device also comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) which allows you to exchange information with other devices placed in a close-range just with a simple tap or wave. Location technologies featured on this device include GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and Galileo. A USB version 2.0 and a 3.5mm Stereo ear jack also feature on this device.

You also get Samsung’s Smart Switch for PC synchronization on the Galaxy A40.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Sensors

This device brings along with it all those sensors we’ve enjoyed so far in the A-series. This includes an accelerometer, a fingerprint sensor, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, a Hall sensor, a light sensor, and a proximity sensor. While these sensors might not be an upgrade, they are quite useful and add to the overall connectivity of a smartphone for great smartphone experience.

Conclusion

In all, I think this device is a great and rare deal of a compact phone, but limiting the competition to just the A-series lineup, it didn’t really do it for me. But undoubtedly, the Galaxy A40 has a superb design, is easy to handle and is very connected. That will be all on the Samsung Galaxy A40 price, features, and specs.
