If you’re one of our gamer truckers, or you’re just a truck driver looking for a great Bluetooth headset, you know just how important it is that your attention is fixed on the road while taking note of what is happening around you at all times.
In a Hurry? Here’s Our Top Three
You’re probably driving a truck that is around 80,000 pounds and above, so you don’t want to take your eyes off the road for too long to answer a call and risk ramming your truck into the vehicles of other motorists.
You also don’t need a wired gaming headset which might end up limiting the movement of your hands as you control the steering. So I have tested and picked five of the best Bluetooth headsets for truckers that are great for noisy environments and for answering phone calls.
Best Bluetooth Headsets for Truckers and Drivers
BlueParrott B450-XT – Best Rated Bluetooth Headset for Truckers
- Long wireless range
- Long battery life
- Great for music
- Noise-canceling features
- It beeps when you mute
- Can connect to two devices at once
- The foam wasn’t very firm
One of the biggest strengths of the BlueParrott B450-XT is its especially long battery life. The headset ran nonstop for around 32 hours 20 minutes on our test when streaming via Bluetooth, and it’s sure to carry anyone driving a truck for the duration of their driving before they have to recharge it again.
Interestingly, if you choose to use this on games like Nintendo Switch or your mobile devices, you really don’t have to use the battery if you want to preserve the battery life for the next time you’re on the move. With its included USB cable, the BlueParrott B450-XT can double as your PC and gaming headset, and your daily driver.
You will find all the headset controls on the right ear cup, there is also one customizable BlueParrott button, the volume up/down button, the play, pause, and call buttons. For packing the headset away, you can swivel the earcups to make it lie flat, and there’s a hard case which helps for storage. I should also add that the ear cushion is pretty big and comfortable on the ears, while the headband comes padded, aiding comfort and helping you use it for longer periods.
The BlueParrott B450-XT comes with noise-canceling features, helping you get clear-sounding calls even in noisy environments. The range of the wireless is also one of the longest we have used, as the headset can still work even when 30 feet away from the paired device. The headset also comes with a car charger and a micro-USB charging cable out-of-the-box, helping you stay juiced even when you’re on the move.
We can’t conclude this BlueParrott B450-XT review without reiterating that it has one of the best battery life we have seen on a headset for truckers. It also comes with amazing noise-cancellation support, improved sound, an ability to connect to two devices at once and a long wireless range. All of these helping you keep your phone away as you drive while being able to make and answer calls even with the noise in the environment.
Willful M98 – Best Bluetooth Headset for Calls in Noisy Environment
- Lightweight and adjustable band
- Clear sound for all calls
- Clear audio even in noisy environments
- Long Bluetooth range
- Long battery life
- A charging station that doubles as a storage stand
- Ear cushion doesn’t heat the ear
- Physical mute button
- The music playback quality on the best
- No charge indicator light
While the Willful M98 comes as one of the best Bluetooth headsets for truckers, it just wasn’t the best when we used it for music, but it did better when we used it for calls and video conferencing in noisy environments. The audio quality was OK, the noise cancellation was a pass. In fact, for all types of calls and video conferencing demands, from Zoom to Webex, to Google Hangout, to Skype, to regular phone calls, the Willful M98 seems to do the job just fine.
For truckers who would like to have a Bluetooth headset that can connect to multiple devices at the same time, then the Willful M98 is a great choice. We noticed, though, that while it can stay connected to two devices at once, you’re only able to use it with one device at a time.
I should also add that this headset comes with a magnetic charging station that holds the headset in place as it charges. I think the magnet was great and should hold the headset in place even in a turbulent environment like a truck. The charging station can also double as a stand for the headset, and if you want, there comes a charging cable with the headset which can be used in place of the station. On our test, I was able to get around 17.5 hours of talk time out of this headset.
The controls are built on the earcup. The earcup allows you to adjust the headset volume, change between songs, pair the headset to other devices, and control its power. The mic also comes with a mute button that was very easy to access and adjust, which is great for placing a caller on hold. The mic is a boom mic, doesn’t collect on background noise, picking your voice clearly.
The earpads are soft, and friendly on the skin. The headset is adjustable, and the headband is very flexible, so irrespective of the size of the head, it should fit just fine.
Overall, for coming in a comfortable design, having features like noise cancellation, mute buttons that work on calls, an OK but not great music quality, and freedom to connect to more than one device, I believe the M98 is a great addition to this list of best Bluetooth headsets for truckers, and my personal best for making calls in a noisy environment.

The construction is durable, which makes it an ideal option for truckers because of how rugged the job makes handling the headset. It also comes with excellent battery life, and on our test, we were able to use it for around 28 hours on a single charge, which is a pass in our books especially for truck drivers who spend a considerable time on the road. We were able to pair the headset with just about any device on any operating system as long as the device has a Bluetooth 5.0 or Lower.
The BH041 is one of the first AI noise-canceling headsets I have seen, and it does a good job of reducing the background noise by up to 40dB. The advanced QCC3020 chipset allows you to pair this headset with two Bluetooth devices at the same time while enjoying stable signal transmission even over a long-range.
On the ears, the cushion doesn’t feel too harsh, it’s soft and comfortable, the pads are anti-slip, and it doesn’t warm up on the skin after some time. The headband is also adjustable, which makes it a good option for different head sizes. As soon as you have set the headband to your head size, it stays in place, and its 2.8oz light weight makes it that you can use it all day without feeling discomfort.
The mic comes with a dedicated mute button, which is great for keeping other callers on hold without actually touching your phone. There is the redial, answer, end, reject, and even transfer calls setting with the button. I should add that it comes with volume and navigational controls for users who want to use it for music and movies.
Overall, the BH041 does a good job if you’re looking for a good headset for truckers and drivers. It delivers great sound, top-notch noise cancellation, lightweight, and some adjustment and customization freedom.

- Build quality seems good
- Great Bluetooth range
- Only works with one ear
The Willful M91 comes as another one of our best Bluetooth headsets for truckers. This particular one was recommended by one of our trucker friends for having a top-notch mic quality. Even with the truck windows down, with the truck in motion and with vehicles passing on both sides, it was very easy to hear everything he was saying without the microphone picking up on all the background noise.
The Willful M91 also does a good job when using the mic for video conferencing, gaming, Skype and Zoom calls in very noisy environments. The Mpow Pro is probably the best budget Bluetooth headset for trucking that we got to test, and it delivered way beyond our expectations. The Mpow Pro earphone measures around 1.75 inches, the length of the boom mic is 5.25 inches, the headband’s length from the ears to the top of the head is around 6 inches, and it comes in the standard one-ear design.
The headset is lightweight at around 1.6 oz, the earpad is padded for comfort when using the headset for longer periods, while you’d appreciate that the headband is flexible to accommodate all head sizes. The mic completely swivels, so you can use the headset on both ears.
The headset comes with Bluetooth V5.0, and it worked well with every single one of the devices we tested with, from iPhones and iPads to Android devices and laptops. Can Truck Drivers Wear Headphones
Truckers can wear headphones only if it doesn’t cover both ears. So while it remains illegal to wear headsets, earbuds, and earphones that will block both ears, you won’t be breaking the law if your headphones and earbuds only block one ear, leaving the other ear exposed.
